La Plata is an advanced stage, gold-rich, polymetallic massive sulphide project located in the Cordillera Occidental of central Ecuador, in the district of Toachi, Province of Cotopaxi. The project geographic coordinates are UTM 729 500 east; 9 957 300 north. By road, the Project is located approximately 100 kilometres to the west-south-west of Quito, the capital of Ecuador.
The mineralization encountered at La Plata is characterized as a gold-rich polymetallic volcanic-hosted massive sulphide (‘‘VMS’’) Kuroko-type deposit.
Field trip to Fruta Del Norte (Epithermal Au/Ag) & Mirador (Porphyry Cu-Au). From 16th March to 19th March 2016.

The field trip took place southeast of Ecuador in the Cordillera del Cóndor on the border with Peru. First day was all day driving by road around 17 hours. On Thursday we visited Fruta del Norte Deposit an Intermediate sulphidation epithermal system which is in charge of the company Lundin Gold Inc., in Las Peñas Camp we got an induction and a talk by Luis Morales (Geology Staff of FDN) with the topic “Depósito Fruta del Norte”. The afternoon was dedicated to the visit of the discoverer outcrop and the core shack. Next day we went to Mirador Project which it is being developed by the company Ecuacorriente S.A. The visit began with an induction by security personal about EPP and then a talk by the senior geologist Juan Leon after that we visited where is gonna be the processing plant and the pit. After lunch we went to core shack and we reviewed the drill cores.
